Michael Jordan denounces a Chinese company



Michael Jordan denounces a Chinese company by irregular use of his name, also the company tried to use the names of his children for some commercials.

The basketball legend, Michael Jordan, began legal action against the Chinese sports brand, Qiaodan, by misuse of his name, said today his lawyer.

Former NBA player for the Chicago Bulls, argues that the name of the firm, "Qiaodan", was used without permission. Qiaodan means (Mandarin - English translation) "Jordan", the name of the player, accompanied by the number 23.

The Chinese company, which claims to have registered the trademark in 2000, is relatively unknown in the Asian country's market. This week has been informed by news the alleged interest of Qiaodan for securing a sponsorship deal with the new NBA star, Jeremy Lin.

Nowitzki is placed among the top 20 scorers

Dirk Nowitizki and Dallas Mavericks are apparently taking control of the game at the half of this season.

In the other hand Boston Celtics simply are struggling for a win.

Nowitzki scored 26 points, had 16 boards, and is inside of the top 20 scorers in the NBA this season. The Mavericks never lost the lead in the 89-73 victory over Boston on Monday night.

"I've always said it would be great to look back (to see my achievements) when the time of my career comes over. Right now, I feel better and want to continue like that, "Nowitzki said. "Since I took the week off, I feel better and I've been moving better. I have to keep attacking. "

Jeremy Lin continues to make news

ESPN reported on Sunday that fired the employee responsible for an inappropriate headline in a review of the NBA Star of the Knicks, Jeremy Lin.




In a statement on Sunday, ESPN apologized and recognized that ESPN is also aware of two other comments "offensive and inappropriate" in their platforms.

Another ESP presenter that used that phrase was suspended 30 days. The sports network also said that a similar reference was made on Friday at their radio station in NewYork, but the commentator is not an employee of the company.

Lin is the first Taiwan or Chinese American basketball player in the NBA. He has become the sensation of the league after leading the Knicks to seven straight wins before Friday's loss.

Bobcats give birthday gift to Michael Jordan


Reggie Williams scored on Friday 22 points, and Bobcats cut off a run of 16 defeats to beat the Raptors 98-91 in Toronto on the 49th birthday of its owner, former Star of NBA Michael Jordan.

D.J. Augustin had 11 points and 10 assists, Kemba Walker scored 14 points. Corey Maggette added 16 points for Charlotte to avoid being in the 28th team in NBA history to lose 17 games in a row.

The baby boy of Jose Juan Barea, Star of the Minnesota Timberwolves and former Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera was born today, his name is Sebastián José Barea Rivera. Congratulations to the Puerto Ricans Jose Juan Barea and Zuleyka Rivera.

Lin is topic of conversation in the White House

WASHINGTON - "Lin" infected the White House.


The NBA Star of the New York Knicks, Jeremy Lin, has become the figure of the NBA season thanks to his strong performance last week, ethnicity and perseverance on the best basketball league. Carney (Reporter of the White House) said that President Barack Obama is aware of the exploits of Jeremy Lin.

The guard, who played for Harvard, came out of nowhere to lead the quintet to a six-game winning streak and capture public attention.

Carney said that the winning made on Tuesday against Toronto was the subject of conversation with the president aboard the Air Force One on the morning of Wednesday.

Carney also said Lin's success is a great story, and the president gave emphasis this morning to Jeremy Lin.

He said "the story goes beyond sports."
